Crossover are delighted to have been shortlisted Breakthrough AV Company of the Year at the AV Awards!

The annual global AV Awards take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, next month with over 1,100 key industry representatives in attendance. The AV Awards were established to recognise and reward excellence across the AV industry. The judging process for the Breakthrough Company of the Year takes into account many factors such as; innovation, business strategy, company objectives and the development of new products.

This has been a fantastic year for Crossover in many respects, featuring a host of exciting project wins, including multiple repeat project orders with several key clients, alongside projects incorporating very innovative applications of AV technology.

Crossover’s success during this period has been due in part to the high levels of repeat business, and in part through word of mouth. That these two ways of winning new jobs contribute so many projects to our pipeline, alongside a successful web presence, mean that Crossover can operate a lean organisation with only a minimal proactive sales team. This helps deliver a great bottom line for our customers.

In this last year Crossover have worked with commercial organisations across a range of industry verticals, including multi-national corporations, leisure and fitness facilities, conference centres, events spaces, hotels, bars & restaurants, retail & showroom spaces, schools and public institutions.

Building long term relationships with our clients has created repeat project wins with high-end fitness providers  Barry’s Bootcamp (three projects and counting) and Digme Fitness, the latter for whom Crossover have delivered innovative AV and lighting systems at three different sites for and have just completed the fourth site - the flagship venue on London Blackfriars bridge in the heart of London. Digme’s Oxford site was named amongst the top gyms in the UK. In both cases, Crossover have delivered all the UK sites for these two clients, and further honed our expertise in providing world-class AV systems for gyms, spin studios and fitness facilities

We’ve also won repeat business from Lush Cosmetics, fitting out their new Cardiff store with background audio, and spa treatment rooms with cost-effective surround sound. The Lush Oxford Street branch, with AV delivered by Crossover, won retail interior of the year.

Crossover apply a consultative design approach for every project, meaning that we’re particularly adept at guiding clients with limited AV experience or only a vague notion of what they really need. This approach also suits bespoke and innovative requirements, as well as clients with a vague notion of needing an innovative requirement!

Our new website was launched this year, and we believe it stands head and shoulders above the websites of our competitors, in terms of the clarity and detail of content, the aesthetic quality, and depth of information about our portfolio and our services. We feel this is good evidence of our approach to our work in general, and has been a great help in securing enquiries relating to world class projects, as well as providing our customers with a solid understanding of the way we work.

A key feature of many Crossover projects are custom-built iPad-based control interfaces, for which the design, user-friendliness and ergonomics are thought through in great detail. With a meticulously designed GUI featuring simple, activity-based options they help non-technical people feel confident in handling sophisticated integrated AV systems via an intuitive user interface. Within the AV industry in the UK we truly excel at designing and implementing these systems at a very high aesthetic and functional level, and find our clients love the simplicity, the contemporary look, and that the end result gives the user easy ‘app like’ integrated control from one device.

Crossover have taken advantage of a growing demand for user experience (UX)  / testing facilities to design and deliver sophisticated testing / observation facilities. These projects are prime examples of some often complex and powerful functionality made extremely simple from the end-user's perspective: from a custom-designed user interface that's presented on an iPad, even non-technical staff can set up and control the systems for monitoring and recording users under test.

We're looking forward to the Award Ceremony at the end of September, and intend to use this honour of being shortlisted for this prestigious award as a springboard for even greater achievements in the 12 months ahead. Thank you to all our customers, and those who have given positive feedback and reviews of our service.

Tragically in April 2017 Crossover lost Mike Crampton, a key member of the team and great friend and colleague. Mike was killed in a car accident and we’d like to dedicate this shortlisting for an AV award to his memory and the tireless work he put into many projects in his three years with our team.

AV AWARDS FINALIST -- CROSSOVER

Very happy with the customer service from Crossover. I found them to be accommodating in speed, willingness, flexibility and they had huge technical knowledge. The project was completed on time and on budget, and the results delivered exceeded our expectations. I would have no concerns using them in the future and recommending them to other organisations
